Following are some general points which are to be kept in mind while having a day at construction site: 1. For dowels rod minimum of 12 mm diameter should be used. 2. 36 mm diameter is the maximum diameter bar used for lapping. 3. Maximum free fall of Concrete = 1.50 m 4. Longitudinal reinforcement not less than 0.8% and more than 6% of gross C/S. 5. PH value of construction water should not be less than 6. 6. Water absorption of bricks should not be more than 15 % 7. Minimum thickness of slab = 125 mm 8. Maximum chair spacing = 1 m 9. Minimum no. of Bars in square column = 4 10. Minimum no. of Bars in round column = 6 11. Density of building materials: 1. Bricks = 1600 to 1920 kg/m3 2. Concrete Block = 1920 Kg/m3 3. RCC = 2310 to 2700 kg/m3 Hope you like the
